Windows 15 was the successor to the mildly popular Windows 14, which received generally mixed reception at launch. Windows 15 introduced a plethora of new features, e.g., a newly redesigned taskbar, completely new global menu bar, slimmer Start Menu and much more. Windows 15 was generally well received at launch, but many criticized the new Start menu for being too compact. Fortunately, Microsoft included the option to resize the Start menu in a later update. Support for USB-D (USB type D) was added.
New features and changes[]
The operating system was significantly different from its predecessor versions, making it "stand out" in the Windows OS family as a whole. However, people also criticised Windows 15 for its unacceptable new design and unnecessary features, including the global menu bar and the large time widget. They also didn't like the Start menu being too compact.
Support for Microsoft Copilot was ended after Windows 15 was released, and it was eventually replaced by the new Microsoft Intelligens.
