Windows 12 (RStone32)
Windows 12 (codenamed Leona Valley) is a series of Microsoft Windows operating systems, introduced in August 2028 after being announced in November 2027 at the same Microsoft Ignite conference which marked the release of Windows Server 2027. It is the first overall major release in the Microsoft Riverstone (RStone32) operating system line. It succeeded Windows 11 and was ultimately superseded by Windows 13 in October 2036. As of June 2031, operating systems from the series run on 66.1% of Windows devices. In April 2035, Microsoft announced that Windows 12 2036 Update would be the last version of Windows 12 as the series will reach end of support on 24 December 2036. Microsoft offers extended support for Windows 12 until 2041.
