History[]

Early years of Meta (1972-1977)[]

On June 16, 1972, Андрій Порошенко, an ordinary civilian of the Ukrainian SSR, created a company named Корпорация "Цель". Корпорация "Цель" mostly focused on electronics and technology. The first product of Корпорация "Цель" was a calculator, named Калькулятор "Цель", released to the public on September 18, 1972. The calculator was pretty buggy, as it was the first time Андрій Дудник coded a calculator. In its lifetime, it sold 675 copies.

On January 19, 1973, Корпорация "Цель" began to develop their first computer, Компьютер "Цель". It was a home computer, that focused on teaching about coding. The development was private, as it was in the personal home of Андрій Порошенко, and there was only 1 build that surfaced around, but it was found out to be fake.

On June 8, 1974, Корпорация "Цель" released Калькулятор "Цель" 2, an improved version of the last calculator. It fixed a lot of bugs, while it also became smaller. In its lifetime, it sold 36,284 copies. Андрій Порошенко couldn't believe that his calculator sold 36,284 copies, even in his 2004 interview, he stated "I still don't know how I sold that many copies by fixing some bugs."

On August 4, 1975, Корпорация "Цель" released Калькулятор "Цель" 3, a smarter version of the last calculator. It also fixed some bugs still left behind from Калькулятор "Цель". In its lifetime, it sold 89,745 copies. Андрій Порошенко was again surprised, as it was a big improvement from last year (+50,000~ copies).

On June 24, 1976, Корпорация "Цель" released Калькулятор "Цель" 4, a smaller version of the last calculator. It also fixed some bugs still left behind from Калькулятор "Цель" 2, and the calculator became smarter. In its lifetime, it sold 98,888 copies.

Success in the USSR market (1978-1991, W.I.P.)[]

On May 28, 1978, Корпорация "Цель" finally released their first computer, Компьютер "Цель", a powerful machine for the world's standards, as it was 5 years in development. The consumers who bought the computer were shocked; there were a lot of things to do, and it could display colors, which was the main selling point of Компьютер "Цель". In its lifetime, it sold 563,472 copies. This was the first actual success of Корпорация "Цель".

On July 17, 1979, Корпорация "Цель" released their second computer, Компьютер "Цель (Для персонанльного использования)", a home computer that mostly focused on entertainment for consumers. If compared to Компьютер "Цель", this version is compact, has fewer features, and is cheaper. This version of Компьютер "Цель" still can display colors, which, again, was the main selling point. In its lifetime, it sold 558,485 copies, slightly less than Компьютер "Цель".

On June 18, 1980, Корпорация "Цель" released their third computer, Компьютер "Цель" 2, a machine that again focused on power. It's different from the first computer; the size of the storage was increased, 51 commands were added, famous bugs were fixed, and a new interface, which the public loved, and it was the main selling point of Компьютер "Цель" 2. In its lifetime, it sold 654,716 copies, more than Компьютер "Цель".

On July 22, 1980, Корпорация "Цель" released Калькулятор "Цель" 5, a smarter version of the last calculator. It also fixed a lot of bugs related to issues with calculating math problems, and the calculator became smaller. In its lifetime, it sold 111,245 copies.

On August 8, 1981, Корпорация "Цель" released Калькулятор "Цель" 6, a smaller version of the last calculator. It also fixed some bugs still left behind Калькулятор "Цель" 3, and the calculator became smarter. In its lifetime, it sold 11,428 copies.

On August 23, 1981, Корпорация "Цель" released their fourth computer, called Компьютер "Цель" 3, a machine that still mostly focused on power. There were a lot of changes; 38 commands were added, the storage was increased, issues related with the screen were fixed, a new chip was inside of it, which, again, the public loved, and it was the main selling point of this computer. In its lifetime, it sold 881,276 copies, more than its predecessor, Компьютер "Цель" 2.

On July 21, 1982 Корпорация "Цель" released their fifth computer, called Компьютер "Цель 2 (Для персонанльного использования)". The computer had most of the features of Компьютер "Цель 2", while being smaller and more compact than Компьютер "Цель 2". In its lifetime, it sold 458,298 copies.

On September 11, 1982 Корпорация "Цель" released Калькулятор "Цель 7000", a better version of the last calculator. Калькулятор "Цель 7000" can now generate 3D graphs of its calculations, and can now find Pi and other hard-to-solve equations in seconds. After hearing the new features, people rushed to stores to grab a copy of the calculator, resulting in 2,975,321 copies ever sold.

On October 19, 1982, Корпорация "Цель" released their sixth computer, called Компьютер "Цель" 4. Компьютер "Цель" 4 now has a processor that can display 3D graphics, the computer's DOS was severely improved in the GUI and performance aspect, 41 commands were added, the RAM of the computer was increased (before: 128KB now: 512KB), and has fewer bugs. The computer sold 3,329,498 copies, due to Калькулятор "Цель 7000's" popularity boost for Корпорация "Цель".
