Magnesium Exon (codenamed Equation) is the fourth version of Magnesium, released on August 31, 2995 succeeding Magnesium 2.1 and it was a huge technological advancement. Magnesium Exon used the Matrix-System 3.0/3.1 kernel and had 2 editions (Original and Second Edition). Magnesium Exon introduced expanded compatibility with a wider range of hardware devices and also it was backwards compatible all the way back to Windows Downfall (2981) allowing users to use very old programs without errors. Polaris Browser was updated to version 2.0, additionally, Magnesium Exon focused on optimizing system performance, making the system faster on low end to mid-range computers at the time. The Interface was also overhauled with smoother design and less UI glitches as well as a more streamlined experience.

The Second Edition (2997)

Magnesium Exon SE (Second Edition) was released on December 26, 2997 as a big update to Magnesium Exon and used version 3.2 kernel. This version improved the security by adding additional encryption and verification methods to protect user data and system integrity, Polaris Browser was upgraded to version 3.0, Magnesium Exon SE also added 5 more office apps as well as updates to the already existing ones. a lot glitches were also patched out in SE. The final update (3.23 Build 6708) was released on November 1, 2998 before MicroSystem moved on to its successor: Magnesium 3000. the support ended on May 6, 3003, the same day Magnesium 5 was officially released by MicroSystem.
